In yesterday’s match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens Harshit Rana’s match fees were cut by half as he was seen showing arrogance to Mayank Agarwal and Klasen. This incident occurred yesterday on the 23rd of March in which the IPL code of conduct was broken by Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Harshit Rana and Swift actions were taken against him by the IPL committee.
Harshit Rana’s match fee was cut by 60%
According to the IPL code of conduct, Harshit Rana has breached two Level 1 offences under Article 2.5. As a result, 60% of the match fees were deducted from his account. Which is 10% and 50% of the two respective offenses that happened yesterday. This controversy was started when Harshit Rana dismissed Mayank Agarwal in the 6th over of the game. Mayank Agarwal who is a senior better in the Sunrisers Hyderabad had to default after scoring 32 runs which was caught by Rinku Singh with whom Rana can be seen giving him a Flying kiss.
According to the cricket expert Sunil Gavaskar, this action was unnecessary and Rose controversy between the two teams.
