WPL 2024 Final, BAN-W vs DEL-W: The final match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore Women and Delhi Capitals Women’s team on March 17 in Delhi. Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning had won the toss and decided to bat first.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals were all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) chased the target with 3 balls remaining and won by 8 wickets. With this resounding victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore has won the trophy WPL 2024 Final.

Delhi Capitals had a great start against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The team had scored 64 runs in 6 overs without losing any wicket. But then the game changed with the 7th over bowled by Sophie Molineau. Sophie Molineau dismissed Shefali Verma (44), Jemimah Rodriguez (0) and Alice Capsey (0). Meg Lanning had a big responsibility after three wickets fell in an over. But Meg Lanning lost her wicket against Shreyanka Patil after scoring 23 runs in the 11th over.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) certainly had a slow start while chasing the target. But in the run chase, the pair of Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine was progressing slowly. There was a partnership of 49 runs for the first wicket between Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana. Sophie Devine was out in the 9th over after scoring 32 runs in 37 balls. After which there was a partnership of 33 runs for the second wicket between Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry.

Smriti Mandhana was out in the 15th over after scoring 31 runs in 39 balls. After which the entire responsibility was on Richa Ghosh and Alice Perry. Richa Ghosh gave the team victory by hitting a four on the third ball of the over. Ellis Perry scored 35 runs in 37 balls with the help of 4 fours. Whereas Richa Ghosh played an unbeaten inning of 17 runs in 14 balls. Minnu Mani and Shikha Pandey took 1-1 wicket for Delhi Capitals.
