Virat Kohli: Talking about his first World Cup match, Kohli said during an interview with Star Sports-

“It was my first match against Bangladesh in Dhaka and I was nervous. Yeah, I won’t lie. There is a different kind of excitement in the air when you come for the World Cup and I could clearly feel it. I was the youngest member of that team and I was getting an opportunity to play with all these greats of Indian cricket in a World Cup match.”

“For me it was definitely a moment where I was a bit nervous going into the match and of course the night before I was quite nervous as well, but it is also a good sign because your body is preparing you to enter a situation where you are alert. You are not taking things lightly. I think that nervousness helped me to stay aware, to be cautious and to be absolutely precise in executing my plans.”

He also shared a crucial 203-run partnership for the second wicket with Virender Sehwag. Virat Kohli’s patience was appreciated by many.
