ILT20 2024 title has been won by MI Emirates by defeating Dubai Capitals by 45 runs. Captain Nicholas Pooran played an excellent innings for MI.
MI Emirates vs Dubai Capitals ILT20: In the final of the second season of ILT20, MI Emirates defeated Dubai Capitals by 45 runs. In this match, the bowlers and batsmen performed strongly for the MI team. It is because of these players that MI Emirates team has been successful in becoming winners. Batting first, MI Emirates team scored 208 runs, in response to which Dubai Capitals team could score only 163 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 45 runs. Nicholas Pooran proved to be the biggest hero for MI Emirates. He played an inning of 57 runs for the team.
Dubai Capitals batsmen flopped
Dubai Capitals did not have a good start while chasing the target. When opener Louis de Ploy returned to the pavilion without opening his account. After this, the batsmen who came to bat also could not show anything special. Tom Bunton scored only 35 runs. Tom Abel contributed 14 runs, Sikandar Raza contributed 10 runs and Rovman Powell contributed 8 runs. Captain Sam Billings certainly played an inning of 40 runs, but he could not lead the team to victory.
MI Emirates bowlers showed their strength
Emirates bowlers performed well and did not allow Dubai Capitals players to hit strokes freely. For MI, Trent Boult took 2 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs. Whereas Dwayne Bravo, Akil Hussain, Muhammad Rohid got 1 wicket each. Whereas Vijaykant took 2 wickets for 24 runs in the quota of four overs.
Puran played explosive innings
The openers performed brilliantly for MI Emirates. Muhammad Wasim played innings of 43 runs and Kusal Perera played innings of 38 runs. After the dismissal of these two players, Andre Fletcher and captain Nicholas Pooran took over the responsibility of scoring runs. Both these players rained runs on the field. Puran scored 57 runs in just 27 balls, which included 2 fours and 6 sixes. Fletcher contributed 53 runs. It is because of these players that MI Emirates team was able to score a mountain like 208 runs while batting first. No bowler from Dubai Capitals could make an impact and except Zaheer Khan, all the bowlers proved to be expensive. Zahir took 1 wicket for 21 runs in 4 overs.
