Kwena Maphaka: A Rising Star From South Africa
Maphaka, still only 17 years old, shot into the limelight at the U19 World Cup earlier this year. This impressive performance didn’t go unnoticed by the Mumbai Indians, who signed him up as a replacement for the injured Dilshan Madushanka.

Despite his young age, Maphaka already has a decent amount of experience. He debuted for the South African U19 team at the tender age of 15 and has even represented South Africa A and the Emerging teams. Now, he finds himself sharing the dressing room with veterans like Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga, a dream come true for any aspiring fast bowler. The guidance of these legends will be invaluable as Maphaka looks to adapt to the high-pressure environment of the IPL.
