According to Hanuma Vihari, the father of an Andhra Pradesh player is a politician and he put pressure on Sangh to remove him from the captaincy. Ricky Bhui was made the captain in place of Vihari.
Indian batsman Hanuma Vihari made a big allegation on Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association (ACA). He said that political interference in Andhra Pradesh cricket is at its peak and that is why he had to resign from the captaincy of the team. Vihari shared the post on Instagram after the quarter-final match of Ranji Trophy against Madhya Pradesh. He wrote that he had shouted at the 17th player of the team after the match against Bengal. After this the matter got worse. According to Vihari, the player’s father is a politician and he put pressure on Sangh to remove him from the captaincy. Ricky Bhui was made the captain in place of Vihari.

Now Andhra Pradesh Cricket has expressed displeasure over this entire matter and has said that there will be an investigation against Hanuma Vihari. The ACA issued a statement saying, “Complaints were received from teammates, support staff and ACA administrators about Vihari’s use of foul language and abusive behaviour. ACA will thoroughly investigate all complaints and appropriate action will be communicated. It has come to our notice that Vihari personally verbally abused a player in front of everyone during the Ranji match against Bengal. The affected player has lodged an official complaint with the ACA. What did Hanuma Vihari write in the note?

We fought till the end, but it made no sense. Lost in another quarter-final with Andhra. This post is about some fact which I want to tell everyone. I was the captain in the match against Bengal. I shouted at the 17th player in that match and he went and complained to his father who is a politician. His father then asked the Sangh to take action against me. We chased 410 runs against last year’s finalists Bengal, but despite this I was asked to leave the captaincy, even though there was no fault of mine. I never said anything to any player personally, but the association felt that an ordinary player was more important than a player who risked his body and batted left-handed. It felt right to discriminate against a player who has taken Andhra to the knockouts five times in the last seven years and has represented India in 16 Tests.
Hanuma Vihari will not play for Andhra Pradesh
Hanuma Vihari vowed that he would never play for Andhra Pradesh again because he felt humiliated and embarrassed. He wrote- I felt embarrassed, but I continued playing this season only because I respect this game and respect my team. The saddest thing is that the union thinks that the players will listen to everything they say because they are in the team because of them. I feel humiliated and embarrassed and I have never discussed this before today. I have decided that I will never play for Andhra from today onwards and I have taken this decision for self-respect. I love the team. I am happy that as a team we are growing every season, but the association does not want us to grow.
